本属は1属1種。本種は本州（関東地方、中国地方）、沖縄から記録がある。海外では東洋区、オーストラリアに広く分布する。主にマメ科に見られ、東南アジアではダイズや落花生でよく見られる（宮崎ら1984）。日本ではインゲンやツルマメの他、アカメガシワやアサガオの葉から得られている。

Ayyaria inclues this species only. This species has been hitherto recorded from Honshu (Kanto- and Chugoku-areas) and Okinawa in Japan, and is also widely distributed in the Oriental region and Australia. It feeds on mainely Fabaceaae such as soybean and groundnut (Miyazaki et al., 1984). In Japan, it is collected from Mallotus japonicus and Ipomoea nil other than Fabaceae such as Phaseolus vulgaris and Glycine soja.
