Ayyaria chaetophora Karny, 1927
和名:ワタノオビアザミウマ
本属は1属1種。本種は本州(関東地方、中国地方)、沖縄から記録がある。海外では東洋区、オーストラリアに広く分布する。主にマメ科に見られ、東南アジアではダイズや落花生でよく見られる(宮崎ら1984)。日本ではインゲンやツルマメの他、アカメガシワやアサガオの葉から得られている。
The genus Ayyaria contains this species only. This species has been hitherto recorded from Honshu (Kanto- and Chugoku-areas) and Okinawa in Japan, and is also widely distributed in the Oriental region and Australia. It feeds on mainly Fabaceae such as soybean and groundnut (Miyazaki et al., 1984). In Japan, it is also collected from Phaseolus vulgaris and Glycine soja, but sometimes collected from some plants other than Fabaceae such as Mallotus japonicus and Ipomoea nil.
